Gildo Medina

Gildo Medina is one of my favourite illustrators, his work is delicate, piercing and effective. The colours are produced by using pencil, chalks and digital media to create his unique work. The magic of his work is how the grey tones are gentle and set the background; the sharp vivid areas of red bring out the expression and emotion to attract and provoke attention to the illustrations.

 

 These two illustrations stand out to me from his work, they both have subtle messages and moods. What intrigues me most about his work is the subtle tonal images with pastel colours used to enhance the overall look.
